    Hi guys,

Well I finally figured it out. As I understand, my question had been read for 196 times, yet nobody seemed to know how to help me any further (to put it friendly) or maybe no-one even bothered to give any reply. Both suggestions I find hard to believe, but are nevertheless pretty disappointing to me... Also, considdering the fact that I'm pretty sure that at least one or two Falkenburg-mod players must have seen this post, why not trying to help me out here? ?( Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't this forum all about helping each other with their questions and problems?

Anyway, by watching many, many movies of the Falkenburg-mod on YouTube now, I finally stumbled on the one that showed me how to really activate the game, like I asked you guys about. For those of you, who really could not help me out with my question, here is the answer:

When the game starts, you immediately see the firehouse. On the firehouse terrain, near the adjacent building, you can see a fireman just standing there in front of a metal fence/barrier. You then have to rightclick on the fireman to make his "function menu" visible. Apparently, once you click on the glove in the "function menu", the game is activated and you can start playing the game, since immediately afther clicking the glove, the first emergency call is placed.

Well then, this post - for what its worth...

    Cheers!!

    Robert.

I would strongly suggest to place your above mentioned request on the Emergency Fansite: Biebefelde NextGeneration as well... in English. http://www.emergency-planet.co…-released/#comment-310093I'm sure, you'll receive a ton of ideas and suggestions from our English players on that forum since most of them is probably not familiar with the German language and therefor not interested in the German Emergency Forum , let alone, capable of reading and understanding either the posts on your forum or your request in the German language.

    Cheers!!

    Hi Guys,

I've downloaded and installed the Falkenburg Mod but It seems I cannot get the game "really" working. Do I have to activate the aerial on the fire house (like in the Bieberfelde Mod) or is there something else I need to do first?

I mean, vehicles I get on the scene I cannot steer or activate. The "function menu" to do so is not active, so there is no way I could let the firemen grab a fire hose or an axe from his fire engine, let a policeman reach for his gun or a paramedic get a stretcher from the ambulance. All those menus I do see in the YouTube videos of this mod, are not activated in the game I installed. Also in the video, when clicking on the fire engine leaving the fire house, a lot of functions are to be seen in the menu: like activating or de-activating its sirens and/or blue lights, or even moving the vehicle to the exact spot in the streets. But this goes for any emergency vehicle for that matter.

I am sure I am missing something here. Would any of you please be so kind to help me out here?

    Thank you!

    Cheers!!

    Hi Guys,

Being a enthusiastic EM4 (single)player of your wunderfull Bieberfelde Mod, I just stumbled upon your "Kleinstadt Freeplay Map". I haven't yet downloaded the map, because I am not sure what to do with it. The way I understand now, it's only a street map of a German city and nothing more.

Is this map to be downloaded and use for modding only? If so, then unfortunately I cannot do anything with it because I am not a modder myself. However, if it is to be used in any other EM4 mod and ready to be played, please tell me which mod is to be used and where/how to install. Also, considering the fact that it is a German street map, I think it would be wise to install the map into a German Mod, right? Must I then think about the Falkenburg Mod for example, because I do not think that the Bieberfelde mod would be an option, or are there more possibilities?

I hope to hear from you soon.

    Thank you.

    Robert. ;)

    @florian S.

Just a quick reaction before going of to work...

Thank you for your reply. The way you suggested didn't seem to work yesterday in transporting the patient, nor activating the sirens - the way it's used to. So, that't why I posted this question. The BLS Ambulance (= Basic Life Support) is in fact your "Krankentransport"; the one on the right at the "RW 1".

BTW: "ALS" Ambulance stands for Advanced Life Support; the ones you call in with more serious accidents.

I'll try again next time the event occurs. Thanks again!

    Cheers!!

    Robert. ;)

    Hallo again,

I was dealing with a "slightly injured" person after a fall and I decided to send the BLS Ambulance from "RW 1". I noticed that the ambulance drove to the scene without siren and blue lights; also, they were not to be activated. When the paramedics were handling the patient, the message appeared that the patient was not "transport ready", so a doctor was needed at the scene as well. When the patient finally was inside the ambulance, the message appeared that the transport had to be escorted by a doctor. Now, here's what strikes me:

The doctor was only to be placed inside the ambulance, when one of the paramedics was left out of the ambulance. I figured, "Okay, I'll let the paramedic drive the doctor's vehicle then", but then it appeared that the ambulance wouldn't go anywhere without the second paramedic inside. But to do so, the doctor had to get out of the ambulance again. Do you see my problem? All that was left for me to do, was getting the patient back out of the ambulance, to lay him down on the floor again and call in an ALS Ambulance to transport the patient to the hospital escorted by the doctor who was earlier called in at the scene. The BLS Ambulance was sent back to base without any patient... (??)

I cannot imagine that this is the correct way to handle, is it? Please tell me, where did I go wrong? BTW, is the BLS ambulance (inside the game) capable to use its lights and sirens at anytime at all? Is it best to leave the BLS Ambulance at the base then?

    Hope to hear from you.

    Cheers!!

    Robert. ;)

    @TimmeyX

    Thank you for your reply.

When the next fire occurs inside the game, I'll act according your advise and take it from there. Should I then still encounter any problem concerning my water supply, I hope you won't mind me contacting you again.

BTW: Next to the fireman up upon the ladder, I also had a fireman with a hose connected to the engine. So there were actually two fireman putting out fires. I had the Pumper hooked up on the hydrant instead of what you suggested me just now . Then this would be a problem?

As I understand you are one of the game moderators, is there only ONE hose to be hooked up on a hydrant? If so, the hose, to be connected on the hydrant, can it be given a distributor as well to supply multiple fire engines with water at the same time?

Also: no offense of course, maybe more like a small suggestion for a future update: since my pumper stopped receiving water from the hydrant it was hooked on, as I described earlier, shouldn't a hydrant be capable of supplying water all the time?

    Cheers!!

    Robert. ;)

    HOW TO PUT OUT FIRES??

    Hi Guys,

    Again some questions for you...

When there is a large (increasing) fire to extinguish there is a problem with getting my water supply. Clearly is has everything to do with following the "right procedure" and connecting hoses, hydrants and fire engines to each other the right way. Again, I get stuck...

    • I have my first fireman hook up the firehose to the engine, and while extinguishing the fire, I have a second fireman hook up a second firehose to the same engine as well and have him place a distributor. Then, when having a third fireman hook up the third hose to the distributor, there's no water for him - at least, there isn't any water coming out of the third hose... (??)
    • Also, I had the Ladder connected to the Pumper and the Pumper connected to a hydrant. Both, the canon of the pumper AND the fireman on top of the ladder were supplied with their water. But after a little while the Pumper seemed to be ran out of water (while still hooked on the hydrant) and the Ladder and water canon were not able to put out fires anymore. I just do not understand why this is happening, since the pumper is still hooked up on the hydrant. I don't suppose that a hydrant should be re-activated as well in order to keep on providing water, am I right? If it DOES need to be re-activated, I cannot find how to do so. Also, when I unhooked the Ladder from the Pumper, the water canon of the Pumper started working again... (??) And, remember, just before that, the pumper gave the message that its tank was empty... So, all of this doesn't make any sense to me...
    • Could you possibly explain to me what is happening here? Also, could you please give me some tips to put out large fires and how to make sure my water supply won't run out?

Hope to hear from you soon.

    Thank you!

    Cheers!!

    @Tevion, Hey Tevion,

Thank you for your reply again.

Your instructions are exactly what I described earlier to be doing in message no. 335 @nix112112:

"Thinking that "maybe the vehicle has to be initialized first"
, I decide to buy a new vehicle. I then click the "Initialize unit" button in the command menu, the moment the vehicle appears on the map. And guess what: the vehicle vanishes into thin air... (??)"

The only difference: I then did not know what I was doing at the time. With your explanation now, it's all falling into places and I understand why the vehicle "vanishes into thin air".

    Thanks again man!

    Cheers!!

    Robert.

    @nix112112, @Tevion,

Thanks guys for your help and patience with me.

It makes more sense to me now, now I know that I won't be needing the alarm buttons anymore in the game; once initiated the "Singleplayer LST" of course. However, your answers still leave me with one more question again: sigh... ;)

As you, Tevion, write me the following: "The only purpose for the cars listed in the buymenu is, if a car gets destroyed you can buy it again and initialize it manually." my question for you is the following:

How do I initialize ONE single car manually? What is the procedure therefor to follow?

I hope to hear form you again.

For now, thank you to you both!

    Cheers!!

    Robert.

    @nix112112

Thank you for your reply again.

Calling in emergency vehicles through the pre-installed Antenna's (calling "Sigleplayer-LST") - and clicking on the symbol of the vehicle I want, this is no problem at all. I was aware of working this way and doing so, everything works just fine during the game. The vehicles always enter on the scene with lights and sirens - the way they are supposed to. Although I noticed, I didn't know that this apparently is supposed to work this way: "the lights getting turned off randomly if the personnel gets out of their vehicles". That's why I asked the question; but your answer is clear!

Now, maybe I did not make myself clear enough regarding the first half of my former post; so let me be more specific. My problem concerns the activation of the emergency vehicles I am "buying" through the Alarm buttons in de bottom left corner. I'm convinced that, AGAIN, I am doing something wrong here, but I just don't see it. The moment I buy a vehicle I click the "send vehicle to meeting point" button and the vehicle appears on the map with activated blue lights.
My question to you is simple: THEN WHAT?? When I click on the vehicle, I only see the following buttons in the command menu:

    • "EmptyCar" button
    • "GoHome" button
    • "MoveTo" button
    • "Initialize unit" button
    • "Siren on/off" button (not to be activated!)
    • "Turn siren automatic off" button

When I click the "MoveTo" button, the emergency vehicle is moving to the point I sent it to, but really very slow! Also, even when driving the siren is STILL NOT to be activated.

Thinking that "maybe the vehicle has to be initialized first", I decide to buy a new vehicle. I then click the "Initialize unit" button in the command menu, the moment the vehicle appears on the map. And guess what: the vehicle vanishes into thin air... (??)

Please tell what to do in order to get these (called in) vehicles doing what I think they're supposed to do once on the map: Driving with a normal speed to the scene of the accident with lights and sirens activated.

Hope to hear from you soon again.

    Cheers!!

    Robert.

    Hi Guys,

I keep stumbling into little matters in the (singleplayer) game which I cannot seem to settle myself. So I hope you won't get annoyed with me and are still willing to help me out should you know the answer to my questions...

When an emergency vehicle (coming from out of Bieberfelde) is called in by me through the alarm buttons, the emergency vehicle then naturally appears on the meeting point of the map. When sending this called in emergency vehicle from the meeting point of the map towards the scene of the accident, the blue lights of these emergency vehicles are active but the sirens I never get to work. Is this "the way it's supposed to be", or is there another way to activate the sirens with these called in vehicles?

Also, at the scene of an accident the blue lights of the emergency vehicles stop working after a little while and have to be activated by me, is so wished. Is there a way to keep these blue lights activated at the scene for as long as necessary? Thanks in advance.

    Cheers!!

    Robert.

Okay! Just checked what I did wrong. Again, I didn't realize that I literally had to select each antenna by drawing the green rectangle. So you just solved 4 questions for me! Great!!

Now, by any chance, would you also have an answer on my first question?

So far, thank you very very much!!

    Cheers,

    Robert!

    Hi Guys,

I've got yet a few other questions for the game to play (singleplayer) which I do not understand.

As it happened to me several time now, and none of the manuals (English or German) gave me the solution, I need to ask you here again. I hope you will take the time to read my questions:

    • I read in the manual that in case of a "storm", you should " cut all trees, clean the road from leaves and branches and remove the trees from persons and/or vehicles to rescue the victims. Now, in the game, I ran into a car accident where a car hit a tree and the tree fell over the vehicle. I managed to free the passengers, cut and cleared some branches by the Fire Department, but I could not manage to have them cut the tree itself into pieces by axe or chain saw (not even when the car was already loaded on the tow truck); nor did I manage to have the tree lifted from the vehicle by a crane or anything. How should I solve this problem in the future? Can I clear the tree itself? Also, is there really no crane in the game?

I also have a more structural problem which contains the four following questions; probably all related to each other... :

    • When dealing with an accident and wanting to use the alarm buttons in order to get an emergency vehicle outside Bieberfelde, called in (instead of the emergency vehicles that are parked in one of the Bieberfelde emergency stations), the emergency vehicle then appears on the meeting point of the map, but always with a rectangle drawn around the vehicle. What does this mean? Can I do something about this? Am I expected to so something here?
    • When sending this called in emergency vehicle from the meeting point of the map towards the scene of the accident, it then still has its rectangle and its moving along with the vehicle. The vehicle is then moving pretty slow. Also, the blue lights of these emergency vehicles are active but the sirens I never get to work. Does this have to do with the drawn rectangle as well?
    • When trying to call in the helicopter. I see its shadow on the ground at the meeting point of the map and a small peace of the helicopter "hanging in the air" and also with a rectangle around it. When trying to direct the helicopter to the scene, there's a message that says: "not the entire team", so the helicopter is not to be moved. So could you please tell me what's the deal with the rectangle here as well? Also, how come, when calling in the helicopter, I receive the message that the helicopter team is "not complete"? Can I do something about this as well.
    • Could it be, that all of the above has to do with initializing extra control stations in the "Increasing Alarms" procedures? I also read the chapters "Leitstellen" and "Nachalarmierungen" in the German manual, but I do not understand how to install/activate (?) these emergency centrals for the police and ambulance services.
As I understood, when STARTING the game in the singleplayer mode, it was only needed to have the "Singleplayer LST" initialized... If so done, next to the fire engines, the police cars and ambulances are also placed in the map. Should I then have the "POL Leitstelle" and the "RD Leitstelle" have initialized as well to get "additional functions" in the game, or am I to do something else? Please advise...

I hope you would be so kind to look into these issues for me and try to have all of my questions answered. I thank you in advance!

    Cheers!!

    Robert.

    Hi guys,

Just another question about my single player game:

Could anyone please tell me how to get a tow truck on the scene of a traffic accident? When I click on a policeman to call in the tow truck, the icon to do so is "vague" - as in NOT active.

Could you please help me out here by telling me exactly what I have to do? I have the feeling it has to do something with initializing extra control stations. If so, which one of those do I have to initialize and how do I do that?

I hope you can please help me out here!

    Thank you!

    Cheers!!

    Robert

    Hi guys,

I've been studying the manual of this marvelous- and really impressive mod! I've got just one question only: All of this, as described in the manual (like the use of ALL the different vehicles, rescue stations, control stations, hospitals outside the map, functions, commands etc. etc. in the Multi Player mode), is this also available in the Single Player mode?

Since I'm not a Multi Player, It would really make me happy to know that all of the above is also available for me when just playing the Single Player mode.

Hope to hear from you soon.

    Cheers!!

    Robert.
